About

In Spanish, El Mercado means “The Market”

A place that traditionally brings together families, farmers, food stalls and the best fresh produce around. We are inspired by South American markets, full of colours, flavours, and joy.

And that’s what El Mercado is about.

Our vision is to be recognised as an institution of South American food in Australia. And to have a key role in making South American street food familiar to Australian families.

HOLA

Means hello in Spanish, but it also stands for the core values that underpin our way of doing business:

Health, Optimism, Local, Artisan.

Health and Safety standards are paramount to our business. COVID rules in place are strictly followed in all our processes to ensure the safety of our sta and the broader community.

Optimism We love what we do, and we hope you do too. Let’s keep on going with a smile and hard work, day after day. Empanadas are a great reason to be happy!

Local we appreciate your support, and we try to support as many local businesses as we can. There are so many great small businesses around, let’s look for them and support them!

Artisan everything at El Mercado is handmade and freshly baked every day. Our Medialunas are baked twice a day to make sure you get top quality pastries…add dulce de leche, and you are in heaven!
